The Book ‘The chronic Diseases, their peculiar Nature and homoeopathic Cure – Annotated Edition’ is released by Shri. Sarbananda Sonawal, Hon’ble Union Cabinet Minister of AYUSH, and Dr Munjpara Mahendrabhai Kalubhai, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for AYUSH, on 9th April 2022 in the inaugural ceremony of World Homoeopathy Day celebrations organised by Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India on the 267th birthday celebrations of Dr Christian Fredrick Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of Homoeopathy, is held on 9th and 10th April 2022 at Subrahmaniam Auditorium, Pusa Road, New Delhi, India. The book ‘The chronic Diseases’, their peculiar Nature and Cure – Annotated Edition’ is a combined annotated (descriptive, evaluative, and informative) version of the Homoeopathic book ‘The Chronic Diseases, their peculiar nature and their cure’ by LH Tafel, published in 1896. The aforementioned English translation is from a German book by Dr CSF Hahnemann. Apart from the translation of the original work in 1896, no annotated version exists hence, it is the first of its kind to be published in the Homoeopathic literature world. The abstruseness of the subject, the peculiar writing style of the 18th- 19th century, lack of textbook format style, translation errors, lack of advanced science to explain all aspects, etc have made it difficult to put into practice. All the relevant literature of Hahnemann from 1789 to 1842 is connected in a logical manner and substantiated with genetics, epigenetics, microbiology, and immunology along with research gaps. The other relevant medical system is also included. Thus, it culminates in 4 volumes and this fist volume comprises ‘Nature of chronic diseases’ explained from the viewpoint of disease knowledge. The book is useful for the students, professionals, teachers as well as researchers.
